Terry Phillips

Terry brings a wealth of governance experience to ConneXu from his time as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Kawerau Enterprise Agency, Trustee and Director of Norske Skog Tasman superannuation scheme, and Chairperson and Trustee of his local school board. As well, he has worked for national and multi-national based organisations such as the NZ Fire Service, Norske Skog, Winstone Pulp International, PACT Group, and his current role is Quality, Safety and Environmental Manager at Alto Industrial, located in Hamilton.

From a personal perspective, Terry’s son is supported by ConneXu, and he says that his role on the board is his way of giving back. “Our son is now achieving his goal of independence, and with this support from ConneXu, Sherryl (pictured with Terry) and I are now able to enjoy the life we saw other couples our age living. We can now enjoy each other’s company and explore new places within New Zealand and overseas, and our love of gardening.” Terry has also completed the Lake Taupo Enduro challenge, a non-stop 320km cycle.
