Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager

Dwaine is ConneXu's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, joining the organisation in May 2023. With more than 12 years of experience in health, safety, and operational risk management, he brings a strong background in developing practical systems and processes that support safe, healthy, and high-performing workplaces.

Prior to joining ConneXu, Dwaine worked within the gold mining industry, where he gained extensive experience managing safety and operational risk in complex environments. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and has continued to expand his expertise through advanced studies in risk management, health and safety. Dwaine is a Certified Risk Management Practitioner and has also completed the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. He is also a member of both the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) and the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM).

What Dwaine enjoys most about his role is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of ConneXu team members and disabled partners. He is passionate about creating environments where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive, ensuring the right systems and culture are in place to promote wellbeing across the organisation.
