Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager

My name is Dwaine Botha, the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager here at ConneXu. I joined the organisation in May 2023 and haven’t looked back since. Before joining ConneXu, I spent 12 years working in safety and operational risk for a large gold mining company. I finished my Bachelor of Commerce in Economics, and have since furthered my studies in risk management, health and safety. I am also a certified risk management practitioner and recently completed the National Examination Board for Occupational Safety and Health’s international certificate. I am also a member of the Institute for Risk Management of South Africa as well as the New Zealand Institute for Safety Management. This allows access to the latest information regarding anything health and safety and changes to legislation. Having the opportunity to make a difference in both team members and disabled partners lives, ensuring that we have the right processes and systems in place to create a happy and safe place to work. I have a passion four (😉) rugby union and the Springboks, watching where and when I can. I am also religious and dedicate a lot of my time to the ministry.
