The Role

As a Compliance Manager for both the Waikato/King Country and Bay of Plenty regions, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislations, codes of practice, standards, policies, and procedures are maintained. You will ensure internal documentation is updated in accordance with relevant industry or legislative changes. You will be completing internal audits, whilst working with all divisions within the organisation. and maintaining compliance schedules. This role will work closely with the Regional Manager to ensure quality control is maintained. You will be overseeing health, safety, quality and environmental, under the guidance of the Executive Leader- People, Projects and Safety, activities organisation wide.

The Person

We are looking for an individual who has proven experience in health safety, quality, and compliance experience. You will have experience in auditing both internal and externally. You can demonstrate competence in ensuring policies and procedures are effective and ability to interpret legislative requirements and translate this in to plan language. Previous experience within the disability and health sector is desirable but not essential. You will also have experience in effectively leading staff. We are seeking a person who has a passion for working in a team environment and in partnership with others.

A full New Zealand driver’s license is a requirement. You will need to show initiative and be prepared to participate in emergency on call as required.

The successful Compliance Manager will demonstrate excellent communication skills (both written and oral), leadership, and staff development. They will be confident writing reports, analysing data and managing organisational policies and procedures.
